I play with both but slightly better on KB. KB has ghosting issues and difficult finger placement. Very annoying if you hold down your spin keys to spin your tricks. since i own no ps2 to pc adapter, i got adapted to KB and can play with both.

So KB =
Difficult finger placement especially while holding spinkeys.
Ghosting, 2/4button max at once

GP = Win,

with keyboard you have a wider range of keys to choose from, so you don't necessarily have to use the defaults that neversoft give you. i reckon it'd be easier to use spin keys with movement keys (although, i don't 'cause i'm used to the defaults) like: wsad for movement and lshift for left spin and space for right spin.

and not all keyboards ghost; if you have an old keyboard like an omnikey or an IBM clicky then you'll have absolutely no ghosting at all and can press as many keys as you want.

i don't think either is better, it's just a matter of what you're used to and the quality of the device; there's nothing i've seen a gamepad player do that is impossible to do on keyboard, and vice-versa.

I don't think an average user would buy a stoneage KB. kb's from the last 10 years are the one with ghosting issues. You can buy the one from razer but those cost more then an average kb. and yes, thats a nice solution to spin with lshift, rshift since i'm also used to the default trick setup.

razer's products are awful and a lot of the keyboards do have ghosting issues

if you're going to spend any more than like $45 on a keyboard you'd better get a mechanical one

they have actual switches under the keys instead of cheap mushy rubber membranes

Well i'm a kb user but i can imagine that gp would really be better
ghosting is a problem sometimes but i don't get that many problems with it
personally i don't like the default spinkey settings, its just that i use my middle three fingers for tricks and i dont use my thumb and little finger at all, so agreed with fingerplacement issues
i changed my spinkeys to right arrow and numpad enter, so its under my thumb and little finger, works quite nice i must say

I use KB. Though, I changed the key bindings.
I use ASDZXC with tricks and spinning
Arrows to steer

I tried a ps3 controller on this pc last month but damn it was hard lol

gamepad is awesome because playing a game solely with a keyboard at that speed would end up jamming your hands i imagine (lol)

The 2 major flaws with the gamepad ( mine at least)
- playing too fast fucks up something in it and it starts going crazy like screwing up directions, turning off and on etc... (thanks circuit city 3 year free exchanges <3)

- thps3,4, thug1 don't work properly with mine.

with thps4 and thug1 i have managed to fuck around with logitech's profiler to get it to work like I want it to.

thps3 however is hopeless so i play it on the wii with a gc controller :/

The game was designed for a controller, obviously and without a doubt it is far less restricting if at all to use a controller. I find myself getting some spins blocked or even my fingers blocking each other at some point when I'm trying to hit some really quick stuff with different directions and spins all at once.

Keyboard and Mouse are made for FPS and RTS games, but definitely not Beat em' Up or Sports games.
